There Was A Catch To Ashlee And Pete’s $1.4 Million People Cover
People Magazine agreed to pay Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz $1.4 Million for exclusive pictures of their wedding. But there was a catch to this deal. Apparently, Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo had to be in attendance and have their pictures taken by People as well. Supposedly, that is the reason Jess and Tony are on the cover of the magazine as well, because they sell magazines not Ashlee and Pete.
This all makes sense to me now, because when I heard they were being paid at least a million for the pictures I thought that was way too much. Ashlee and Pete are not real money makers so why would People agree to pay them seven figures for their wedding pictures. But this all makes sense now.
